 Rest for the Weary!
In these days and times, it is important for Christians to know that the steps of a good (righteous) man or woman are ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23).  Given this is what the Word tells us, we should be living lives free of harmful worry and stress.  1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all of our cares upon Him for He cares for us.  Yes, the Word of God does say to cast all of our cares upon Him.  We have a loving God.  He says in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Human beings were not created to carry stresses and burdens on a daily basis.  As a matter of fact, stress and anxiety cause deterioration to the body and can kill.  Instead Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness:  and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Verse 34 goes on to say, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow . . .”  Yes, we are not to be concerned about what will happen tomorrow or the next day or the next.  The still small voice of the Spirit says, “rest”.  One passage of scripture that has always been of assurance to me is Hebrews 4:9-11a.  It reads: “There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest . . .”
To all of you who are fretting about tomorrow . . . . rest.
To all of you who are wondering how your life will turn out . . . rest.
To all of you who are wondering whether you will have enough money to make ends meet . . . . rest.

Spend your time drawing near to God.  Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  Believe God, my friend!  The rest will be added unto you.  Have faith in God!
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me . . . and you shall find rest unto your souls.  Matt. 11:29
