MEET Iris K. Barrett
Iris K. Barrett, Founder and Owner of “The Word is My Life” Training Ministry, has experienced life-changing freedom and wholeness through knowledge and application of God’s Word. She is anointed by God to teach His Word and minister to the Body of Christ.
During her 15+ year career with Corning, Inc., Mrs. Barrett led major training and human resources initiatives. The purpose of her life now is to share the knowledge of God's Word and the excellent greatness of Jesus Christ, His Son.
Iris Barrett's skill base is extensive. She has taught teens and adults and has written Christian training materials for over fifteen years. In addition, she is a powerful public speaker and trainer. Mrs. Barrett specializes in one-on-one Biblical encouragement counseling and offers encouragement sessions for groups. Prayer ministry is vital to "The Word is My Life" Training Ministry. Mrs. Barrett has years of experience in prayer ministry and enjoys instructing others in how to pray effectively. An area of increasing interest to Mrs. Barrett is the development of strong spiritual leaders in churches and ministries. She is using her talents to assist ministries in developing their leaders and auxiliaries for the work of the ministry and the edification of the Body of Christ.
This leadership development work is being extended to businesses and other organizations as well. Iris teaches Organizational Leadership for Mountain State University (WV) at the Hickory Metro Higher Education Center. She is a member of Maiden Chapel Faith Center in Hickory, NC.
